There is always plenty going on here at Seaview Wildlife and plenty of jobs to be done; from animal keepers to catering and sales assistants so we are looking for the right people to do the right job!

We have a core team of about 8 which swells to around 20 seasonal employees when the Park is in full swing!

This multi-award winning visitor attraction is small on size but huge in atmosphere and is an exciting environment to work in set in a stunning location with beautiful views out across the Solent waters.

  • WORK EXPERIENCE AND VOLUNTEERING

    Work Experience Students and Volunteers

    The Park is a great place for college and university students studying towards a degree in Animal Management (or similar) to gain practical experience.

    Here at the Park we offer a limited number of students a 'work experience' opportunity for a maximum of two weeks. This enables students to be hands-on, working closely with experienced Keepers, assisting with a wide range of animals and birds and gaining behind-the-scenes experience in many aspects of Animal Keeping - feeding, cleaning, health-checking as well as assisting with Keeper presentations.

    If you are looking for the opportunity to gain some further knowledge and experience whilst completing your College/ University course or just have a passion for Animals and would like to volunteer and work alongside our hard working Keepers then a send in your CV and confirmation that you meet the following requirements;

    • You are 18 years of age or older and are legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
    • You are currently studying towards a diploma or degree in Animal Management/Zoo Management or similar.
    • You have (or are able to make) accommodation arrangements on the Island, close to the Park
    • You have reliable transport arrangements
    • You would be able to attend an interview prior to a decision being made

    Animal Keeper/Presenter/Wildlife Host vacancy

    This role will involve all animal husbandry duties across all sections of the Park as well as hosting our extremely popular Wildlife Encounters and daily Keeper Presentations. Therefore, applicants will need to be physically fit, hard working, reliable and be able to work well within a team or on their own.

    Giving talks and presentations to large audiences is a large part of the job so an outgoing confidant person with a fun personality is required. A qualification in Animal Management or related is advantageous but previous experience working within this type of industry is essential. Accommodation and transport arrangements are not provided.

    Catering Assistants

    We are looking for exceptional Catering Assistants to join us for the 2015 season.

    This role will involve greeting and serving customers, taking payments, preparation and cleaning of the dining area, food displays and the serving of beverages and ice creams. As a member of the team you will be required to provide a quality service and a warm welcome to visitors to enhance and maintain the companies high standards within the catering department. Applicants need to be of a smart appearance, have excellent communication skills and thrive in a busy pressurised environment.

    This role will include weekend and Bank Holiday working and shifts will vary depending on rota. Hours are 20+ per week to increase over peak periods. No evening work or cooking will be involved. This is a part time seasonal position to September/October 2015.

    Reception/Gift Shop Assistant

    We are looking for exceptional Gift Shop/Reception Assistants to join us for the 2015 season.

    Are you passionate about customer service? Are you computer literate? Do you have an eye for detail and have some creative flair? Do you like variety in your work and are you flexible? If so, then this role will involve all of the above.

    Greeting and serving customers, taking payments, organising bookings, sales of stock and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in these departments. As a member of the team you will be required to provide a quality service and a warm welcome to visitors to enhance and maintain the company's high standards. Applicants need to be of a smart appearance, have excellent customer service and communication skills and thrive in a busy pressurised environment.

    This role will include weekend and Bank Holiday working and shifts will vary depending on rota. Hours are 20+ per week to increase over peak periods. This is a five day a week seasonal position to October 2015.
